Our client is a dynamic, rapidly growing PE backed logistics company based in Burton on Trent. With an expanding portfolio and a robust financial strategy, the company is looking to appoint a talented Group Tax Manager to help manage and optimise their tax strategy across the business.

The Group Tax Manager will play a key role in ensuring the company’s tax compliance, risk management, and strategic tax planning across both direct and indirect tax. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to make a significant impact within a fast-paced and growing organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee corporation tax compliance and reporting for the Group.
  • Ensure compliance with both direct and indirect tax obligations (including VAT and other local taxes).
  • Provide advice on tax-efficient structuring and business transactions.
  • Work closely with the wider finance team to integrate tax considerations into business decisions

Key requirements:

  • ACA/ATT Qualified or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in corporation tax, ideally gained in a large practice environment (for a first-time move) alternatively, experience in both direct and indirect taxes if qualified within industry.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax issues to non-tax professionals
