We are working with a leading property and infrastructure support services company to recruit a SHEQ Advisor for their infrastructure division. Reporting directly to the SHEQ Manager, the SHEQ Advisor will be responsible for providing health, safety, environmental, and quality support and guidance to the business.
The SHEQ Advisor will in addition to working from their offices in East Staffordshire, provide support to the operational sites and projects throughout the Midlands area and support the wider England team where required.
The SHEQ Advisor will be responsible for:
- Promoting good H&S practices throughout the business.
- Creating tactical plans for improved performance and drive the development of safety culture.
- Lead Safety Committee Meetings.
- Ensure compliance with the company's Integrated QEHS Management Systems with ISO standards 9001, 14001, 45001.
- Undertake site audits and inspections to achieve compliance, and report back findings for any corrective actions needed.
- Work with clients and sub-contractors to build alignment with the business' HSE approach.
The SHEQ Advisor will have:
- NEBOSH GC or equivalent level 3 qualification.
- Ideally a membership with IOSH.
- Working knowledge of current legislation including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
- An enthusiasm to learn and develop with good interpersonal skills.
