Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and communicate detailed risk-based audit reviews focusing on operational, commercial, and reputational risks from a Health & Safety perspective.
  • Provide cost-effective recommendations to address risks and control weaknesses identified during audits.
  • Ensure that Health & Safety policies, procedures, and site rules are properly implemented and adhered to.
  • Assist in or lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses, conducting root cause analysis and ensuring effective close-outs.
  • Keep Health & Safety management updated with regular reports and trend analyses, contributing to the development of improvement campaigns
  • Helping with the development of key performance indicators and trend analysis.
  • Checking on contractor / pre-start & kick off meetings / documentation prior to them attending site and when on site activities are being carried out.
  • Implementation of the Health and Safety Policy and the Health and Safety Management system.
  • Lead daily site auditing process and ensure compliance with auditing standards.
  • Document that the site manager's weekly site audit and issue report detailing findings and countermeasures etc.
  • Help with regular updates to the UK manager on weekly & Monthly reports which include statistical and trend analysis.
  • Be part of the advisory link with UK Health & Safety Manager, UK H&S Team, site CDM Managers and Project Managers and all other employees on matters relating to Health and Safety.
  • Assist with and implement a range of site-based Health & Safety events to promote good working practices and engagement where applicable.

What You Bring:

  • NEBOSH Certificate is essential
  • Ideally 2-3 years in a similar role, with a good practical knowledge of Health & Safety, particularly in site-based environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of UK legislation, and ideally a background in either mechanical or electrical fields.
  • Excellent communication skills, solution-oriented, confident, assertive, and capable of working under pressure.
