The IT Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating all IT and digital activities for UK.

A special focus on managing legacy systems at European level playing a pivotal role in aligning and coordinating these activities across multiple European branches. This involves close collaboration with global teams to ensure the systems meet both local operational needs and the broader European and global strategy.

The IT Manager will also contribute to the company’s digital evolution, coordinating innovative projects and ensuring that technological solutions align with the broader business strategy

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all IT-related activities, with a specific focus on digital solutions adopted by the local sites.
  • Supervise and optimize legacy systems (like SAP), ensuring smooth integration with business operations in staff functions (HR, Finance, Administration).
  • Ensure the proper functioning of IT infrastructure and data security in compliance with global corporate policies.
  • Work and engage with global and local teams to ensure that Digital systems are continuously updated and optimized according to operational needs.
  • Support and lead on digital innovation initiatives, contributing to the technological transformation of the site.
  • Develop and implement digital strategies aligned with global corporate priorities, ensuring the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
  • Maintain regular communication with Regional IT teams to ensure that corporate directives and standards are followed.
  • Coordinate and manage the local IT team, ensuring effective management and ongoing professional development.
  • Plan and manage the IT budget, monitoring costs and optimizing technology investments.

Required Qualifications and Aptitudes

Education and professional background:

  • Degree level education – essential
  • Business / IT related degree subject – desirable

Professional and personal aptitudes:

  • Significant experience in a senior supervisory / IT Manager role – essential
  • Experience within a multinational, large corporate environment – essential
  • Strong technical / hands on problem solving skills – essential
  • Experience of managing multi-sites – desirable
  • Digital transformation project experience - essential
  • Strong team player, able to lead on projects and align IT strategies with business objectives
  • Able to conduct analysis and tests to identify issues in a system and provide technical solutions to effectively resolve such problems - essential
  • Confident approach with outstanding communication skills and ability to build relationships - essential
  • Pragmatic approach with enthusiasm to manage a varied caseload - essential

The successful applicant will work 37.5 hours per week, 09:00-16:30 Monday to Friday, although flexibility is required to work beyond these hours when required.

We do have a Smart working policy (hybrid working) in place which is 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.  For any new starters to the business, there will be an initial requirement to be in the office on a full-time basis.

Salary for this role will be £70,000 per annum, depending upon skills, background and experience.
