Our expertise spans various aspects of train interiors, including seat replacement, grab pole installation, fitting carpets and lino, roof panel replacements, and control systems for train doors.Job Purpose:This is an exciting opportunity to work with an internationally renowned Rolling Stock company on a permanent basis. The role focuses on providing field-based support for train modification projects. You'll be responsible for conducting various interior modifications, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions on-site.Principal Responsibilities & Accountabilities:Carry out modification programs on train interiors, including seat replacements, grab poles, carpets, lino, and roof panels.Install and fit control systems for train doors and other interior components.Provide first-line support for customer inquiries and technical advice.Travel to sites to diagnose and resolve issues related to train modifications.Collaborate with internal teams and customers to achieve the best outcomes.Apply your knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems to complete projects efficiently.The Successful Candidate:Ideally, you have a minimum of 3 years of experience working on large vehicles, particularly in Rolling Stock or similar industries.Hold an NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical or electrical discipline (dual-skilled is a plus).Possess a full, clean driving license.Experience in train interior modifications and fault finding is preferred.The Package:Overtime is paid at a flat rate.On-call pay includes a minimum of 3 hours' pay.28 days holiday.4% pension contribution by employer.Company van, mobile, iPad, and all necessary tools provided.Fuel card and expenses covered.Contact Information:Alex CameronEmail: Phone: (Direct Line) PLEASE NOTE: All applicants must pass a drug and alcohol test before being offered a position.Due to the volume of applications, we can only contact those deemed suitable.
