As a Teacher of Music you will be expected play a crucial role in promoting a vibrant and inclusive musical environment, nurturing students' passion for music, and ensuring the department's success.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing a comprehensive music lessons that aligns with educational standards and the school's goals.
- Ensure the lessons reflects a broad spectrum of musical genres and styles.
- Create an environment that fosters student interest, participation, and enthusiasm for music.
- Organise and support extracurricular music activities and clubs.
- Oversee the maintenance and acquisition of musical instruments and equipment.
- Collaborate with other school departments and administration to integrate music into the overall educational experience.
- Coordinate music-related events, such as concerts, recitals, and competitions.
- Engage with parents, the local community, and potential donors to promote and support the music program.
- Build partnerships with local music organisations and institutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s (BA) or master’s degree in music education or a related field.
- Teaching certification and relevant licenses.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience in music education and curriculum development.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
