Due to our continued success Progress Teachers are looking for a passionate Teacher of Music to work within a Secondary School in Burton on Trent . As a Teacher of Music you will be expected play a crucial role in promoting a vibrant and inclusive musical environment, nurturing students' passion for music, and ensuring the department's success.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing a comprehensive music lessons that aligns with educational standards and the school's goals.
  • Ensure the lessons reflects a broad spectrum of musical genres and styles.
  • Create an environment that fosters student interest, participation, and enthusiasm for music.
  • Organise and support extracurricular music activities and clubs.
  • Oversee the maintenance and acquisition of musical instruments and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other school departments and administration to integrate music into the overall educational experience.
  • Coordinate music-related events, such as concerts, recitals, and competitions.
  • Engage with parents, the local community, and potential donors to promote and support the music program.
  • Build partnerships with local music organisations and institutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s (BA) or master’s degree in music education or a related field.
  • Teaching certification and relevant licenses.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
