Randstad are working with a dynamic, forward-thinking company specialising in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) and refrigeration services, delivering exceptional solutions across a range of sectors including food manufacturing, cold storage, and industrial refrigeration. The business offer M&E design, installation, and maintenance allowing them to offer tailored services that meet the specific needs of each client. With a strong track record of delivering high-quality, complex projects, they are now looking for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join the growing team.

Role Overview:
As an M&E Quantity Surveyor], you will be a key player in delivering efficient, cost-effective M&E and refrigeration solutions. You will oversee the financial management of projects from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed within budget, on time, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to manage costs and ensure the smooth delivery of the projects..

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for M&E and refrigeration projects.
  • Procurement & Tendering: Oversee the procurement process, evaluate contractor and supplier bids, and provide recommendations.
  • Contract Administration: Prepare and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with both project specifications and legal requirements.
  • Financial Oversight: Track project costs, monitor cash flow, and identify cost control measures to maintain profitability.
  • Risk Management: Assess potential financial risks and provide strategies for mitigating them.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work alongside project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to ensure M&E and refrigeration systems are integrated effectively.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
  • Reporting: Provide regular financial and progress reports to senior management and clients.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a focus on refrigeration or related M&E services.
  • Strong background in cost management, procurement, and contract administration, with experience in the refrigeration industry.
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial projects.
  • Strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good working knowledge of industry standards & regulations
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, or a related field
