Spirehouse are currently recruiting for a Housing Services Manager on behalf of a Housing Association in Staffordshire.

The Opportunity

This is a contracted role for 9 - 10 months, however there shall also be opportunity for an interested individual to also apply permanently. The purpose of this post is to supervise the day to day operational service delivery of the Tenancy Services Team.

Duties:

  • Manage, motivate and support the team and coordinate the delivery of their work, providing guidance and direction ensuring that productivity and customer satisfaction remains high, and that the service remains resilient and adaptable.
  • Lead the team to deliver a sustainable, supportive and effective tenancy management service acting as an internal and external advocate, developing positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain constructive and positive relationships, generating clear and effective communication and collaborative working across the organisation
  • Set clear objectives for the team which balance the business priorities with customers’ needs, ensuring regular monitoring of the achievement of those objectives.
  • Ensure that our tenancies are managed in line with tenancy conditions and best practice.
  • Enable regular case reviews, ensuring that complex and unusual issues are dealt with proactively, and in accordance with best practice.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all applicable legislation, guidance and best practice relating to tenancy management.
  • Be responsible for appropriate and proactive action being taken in all cases of tenancy breach (ASB, property condition, failure to allow access, etc), balancing enforcement action against the need to support vulnerable customers to sustain their tenancies.

  • 37 hours per working week
  • Monday - Friday
  • £29 per hour via Umbrella
  • Immediate start
  • 9 - 10 months interim
  • £41,341 - Permanent Salary

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in managing a team
  • Tenancy sustainment experience is essential
  • Knowledge of housing legislations
  • Full UK drivers licence and access to a vehicle
