We are looking to recruit for an experienced Assistant Accountant to work within the finance team supporting the financial director with all aspects of the financial accounting for the business. Ideally you will be AAT level 4 or CIMA part qualified or equivalent

Duties

  • Sales reports and figures
  • Dealing with cash receipts within the business
  • Accurate processing on Purchase invoices
  • Advanced Excel work including pivot tables.
  • Deal with all supplier queries
  • Reconcile all supplier statements
  • Process customer invoices
  • Credit controls up to a level when it is then passed over.
  • Produce credit note reports
  • Petty cash management
  • Daily Bank reconciliation
  • Assisting with payroll for a small team
  • Deal with expense claims
  • Other duties as required including assisting with HR, Health and safety to assist FD.

Skills:

  • AAT qualified level 4 essential / CIMA qualification desirable or equivalent
  • Advanced excel ( Pivot tables)
  • Sage 50 experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
  • A professional approach to work with the confidence and ability to communicate effectively
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to deal with changing priorities
  • Enthusiastic and proactive approach

The company work a 37.5-hour week and are open to an element of flexibility around start and finish times as long as the hours are worked weekly.

  • Working hours - Mon - Thu 8:30am-5pm & 8:30am-4:30pm Fri
