A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join a small, dynamic team within a business just outside of Bury St Edmunds.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone proficient in Sage, with experience preparing monthly management accounts, liaising with auditors, and handling day-to-day accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately input financial transactions into the accounting system
- Oversee credit control and manage customer invoicing
- Handle stock control and ensure proper financial record-keeping, including invoices, receipts, and payments
- Reconcile bank statements and address any discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed
- Provide general administrative assistance as required
Required Skills and Experience
While formal qualifications are not essential, proven experience in accounting and strong communication skills are required. Ideally you will have a fundamental understanding of accounting principles and have good working knowledge of Sage and Microsoft Office.
