MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting a Management Accountant for a local and thriving business, based in Woolpit. As a Management Accountant you will strive to deliver value to the finance function and wider business by playing a critical role in enhancing their financial performance through strategic planning, insightful analysis, and fostering strong financial decision-making across various divisions. You will be a strong leader with the ability to mentor and get the best out your team. This role is well suited to an ambitious Management Accountant looking for an opportunity with a clear progression plan to drive their career forward.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow the finance team
  • Ensure that the ledger functions operate effectively
  • Drive efficiency in processes through continuous improvement
  • Provide operational management with the information and advice to drive effective decision making
  • Prepare weekly and Monthly management reporting
  • Support the Finance Director in preparing information for the Board
  • Work with the Finance Manager to prepare budgets and forecasts
  • Investment appraisal and project analysis
  • Support the Finance Director with strategic financial decisions
  • Any other tasks required by the Directors from time to time

Key Skills & Attributes:

  • Advanced Office 365 skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Power BI Skills (preferred)
  • Qualified Accountant or nearly qualified with the aim to complete, study support is provided
  • Proven ability to create management information to help the business grow
  • Ability to lead and grow a team
  • Proficient in financial modelling, reporting and forecasting
  • Excellent communication skills throughout the organisation and external stakeholders
