Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Design Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our design department, overseeing the creation of innovative and visually stunning designs across various projects. You will be responsible for managing a team of designers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization while nurturing creativity and collaboration within the design team.
Core Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Lead and inspire a team of designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their professional growth and development, this will be a mixture of internal resources and external resource.
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring the workload is distributed evenly and aligns with each team member's skills and expertise.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and excellence in design.
Design Project Management
- Oversee all aspects of design projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish project goals and objectives.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
Quality Assurance
- Maintain high standards of design quality and consistency across all projects, conducting regular reviews and providing constructive feedback to ensure deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
- Establish and enforce design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure brand consistency and visual coherence across all channels and platforms.
Relationship Management
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, vendors, and external partners to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback, and incorporate them into the design process.
- Act as a primary point of contact for design-related inquiries, feedback, and requests, and proactively address any issues or concerns that may arise.
