Job Type: Temporary, 3-month contract

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk for one of our esteemed clients based in Bury St Edmunds. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to join a dynamic team on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices and credit notes
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Preparing and processing payment runs
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records
  • Assisting with month-end closing activities
  • Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries
  • Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of accounting software is desirable
