The role:
Reporting to the AD/Head of Business Development. The Business Development Manager is responsible for winning new business and growing revenues, within sales and related commercial recruitment.
What success looks like:Generate a continuous flow of placeable jobs from new and existing clients. Exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales revenue and KPI targets. Delight customers.
Responsibilities:
- Utilise lead generation processes and your own research, to build and convert a pipeline of prospective clients.
- Research and identify emerging markets.
- Prioritise outbound business development with a phone first approach, along-with video, face-to-face, LinkedIn and email.
- Sell contingent, exclusive and retained recruitment services to clients. Ensure an exclusive or retained first approach.
- Build long term and trusted client relationships.
- Develop a professional questioning and closing style with clients.
- Create successful sales initiatives to meet and exceed targets.
- Negotiate high fees with clients and improve average placement %.
- Increase client lifetime value by developing high volume, repeatable client business.
- Manage and convert inbound leads.
- Acquire an in-depth knowledge of our terms of business, recruitment services and recruitment insights. Convey knowledge to clients.
- Lead client briefs and qualify jobs to ensure all information and client commitment is obtained.
- Load detailed job and company information into CRM
- Accurately document, track and monitor all client and job activity in CRM
- Accurately record ToBs sent, agreed fees and client data into CRFM
- Brief and work closely with the delivery team to ensure suitable candidates are sourced quickly.
- Proof job adverts and marketing materials to attract the most suitable candidates.
- Manage client relationships, including selling in candidates ensuring speed, momentum and control is maintained throughout the recruitment process.
- Manage candidates at second interview stage through to placement.
- Take control of candidate and client management at job offer stage.

- Obtain client testimonials and referrals.
