The team welcomes over 300,000 visitors a year to this Treasure House and its rolling Suffolk landscape. The visitor welcome team work both indoors and outdoors enjoying the difference each season brings. Together with our volunteers we bring exceptional service and have authentic conversations with every visitor.

This role will report to the Visitor Welcome Manager, who will provide you with a 1:1 diverse training plan. They will give you the daily support you need to feel confident and give you a tailored personal development plan to grow your career in the National Trust.

We are at our busiest when the public is as its leisure, please expect to work every / other weekend and some national holidays.

What you'll be doing

As a Welcome and Service Assistant, you’ll be an ambassador for the Trust sharing our values and working as a team to link everything we do back to our cause. You'll provide stories about the amazing work we are doing and what supporter donations are funding, promoting local projects and our national strategy.

As a team you will confidently grow members and supporters, giving them everything they need for their visit. You'll lead volunteers, and deliver high standards of presentation, ensuring all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property.
