Our client, based in Bury St Edmunds, is looking to hire an Electrical Design Engineer to join its expanding team.
As a Electrical Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing control panels and switchgear to meet customers' specific requirements, ensuring compliance with legislative and safety standards.
- Anticipating future legislation and advising customers on product, service, or equipment adherence to requirements.
- Producing high-quality manufacturing data, including schematic and layout drawings using AutoCAD.
- Creating reports such as bill of materials and test procedures.
- Specifying and selecting electrical components for UK, EU, and International applications.
- Participating in design and quality reviews for new and existing products.
- Collaborating with the applications and sales, production, and quality teams, providing technical support and guidance as needed.
- Contributing to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues and recommending options and courses of action.
- Implementing directives to drive change within the team.
To be considered for this Electrical Design Engineer role, you will need the following:
- Experience in the design of control panels and low-voltage distribution boards/switchboards
- AutoCAD Electrical proficient
- Experience in interpreting different technical schematics and report formats, including electrical and mechanical.
