Electrical or Mechanical Engineer

Our well established Client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with an NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in engineering principles, practical experience, and a keen interest in developing their skills further. This role involves working on a variety of projects, from installation and maintenance to troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical or mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with electrical or mechanical systems, providing effective solutions.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and service reports.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in an engineering role, with hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Strong understanding of electrical or mechanical systems and components.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations for electrical engineers) are a plus.
