Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical)

Our Client is looking for a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (with either mechanical or electrical bias) to join the team. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, processing, warehouse, or cold storage environments and be comfortable working in a hands-on role using a variety of tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Operate and maintain power tools, including drills, grinders, cutting equipment, saws, files, and presses.
  • Work safely at heights using ladders, steps, and walkways.
  • Operate in hot and cold environments, following safe working procedures and using appropriate PPE.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and optimise efficiency.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operation of equipment and production processes.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, processing, warehouse, or cold storage environment.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in using power tools and industrial equipment.
  • Awareness of health & safety regulations and safe work practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in environments with temperature variations (hot/cold equipment).
