Finance Manager ( ACCA/ACA) required for a 12 month contract in Bury St Edmunds with a market leader. The successful candidate will provide value-adding forecasts, reports, and analysis on core Finance functions, assist in the maintenance and development of the Group’s financing arrangements and relationships, and to support system development initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash management & reporting:
- Maintenance and improvement of the Group cashflow forecast and all cashflow reporting
- Preparation of loan drawdown analysis and forecasts.
- Production, review, and submission of the Group’s quarterly VAT return.
- Maintenance of banking relationships and mandates
- Maintenance of banking relationships and mandates.
Purchase & Sales Ledger:
- Month end reporting and analysis, including stats and KPIs.
- Maintenance and audit of the Delegation of Authority Register.
- Continuous review of systems and processes in all areas of Working Capital
- Maintenance and review of Sarbanes Oxley controls for all key cash activities.
- Ad-hoc reporting driven by business requirements.
Financing:
Ensuring ongoing compliance with all information and financial covenants,
Assisting in the modelling, monitoring, and managing of the Group’s short-, medium- and
long-term liquidity, to ensure sufficient availability of appropriate funding for BAU activities
and business development initiatives.
Assisting in the management of the Group’s relationships with key financing partners,
including lending banks, noteholders, and lender representatives.
General:
- Any other duties as required by the manager.
Experience Required:
- Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent level
- Experience in financial reporting and analysis
- Post qualified experience in an industry-based role
- Experience of cashflow forecasting & treasury
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to pick up new software quickly
- High levels of attention to detail
- Ability to present information in a clear, audience targeted format
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in liaising with internal and external stakeholders
