Reed Accountancy are delighted to be partnering with a charity dedicated to making a difference to the community and young people.

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance and Operations Manager to join our leadership team. This role is crucial in managing our financial activities, asset and facilities improvement programme, and business support team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and update financial records, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  2. Process financial transactions and reconcile bank statements.
  3. Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and monitor income/expenditure.
  4. Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency.
  5. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and trustees.
  6. Ensure compliance with charity law, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
  7. Manage payroll processing and submit necessary filings to HMRC.
  8. Oversee restricted funds, ensuring compliance with donor agreements.
  9. Update and review charity policies and procedures for compliance and best practices.
  10. Support Trustees and ensure the Business Support team aids the senior leadership team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in finance management, preferably within the charity sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and charity law.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
