We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance and Operations Manager to join our leadership team. This role is crucial in managing our financial activities, asset and facilities improvement programme, and business support team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- Process financial transactions and reconcile bank statements.
- Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and monitor income/expenditure.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and trustees.
- Ensure compliance with charity law, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
- Manage payroll processing and submit necessary filings to HMRC.
- Oversee restricted funds, ensuring compliance with donor agreements.
- Update and review charity policies and procedures for compliance and best practices.
- Support Trustees and ensure the Business Support team aids the senior leadership team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in finance management, preferably within the charity sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and charity law.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
