Our client are the leaders in their industry and seeking a Technical Internal Sales professional to join their Bury St Edmunds facility.
This role offers the chance to be part of a team striving for growth in marine and industrial markets and to contribute to the global transition to sustainable power.
Day to Day of the role
- Follow up on inbound leads to understand customer needs for current and future sales opportunities, developing a strong pipeline of new revenue opportunities.
- Research potential customers and pre-qualify opportunities to add to the pipeline.
- Utilise various communication methods including phone, email, social media, and in-person interactions.
- Respond to inbound customer enquiries with high levels of customer service to maximise opportunities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of the customer pipeline, from leads to closing.
- Move qualified leads through the pipeline and connect them with the right expert when needed.
- Present the company’s products and capabilities through various methods.
- Develop and maintain good customer relationships, identifying potential needs for revenue growth.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Teams to maximise lead generation and conversion.
- Continually develop product and application knowledge.
- Adhere to Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and preferably a second European language.
- Understanding of basic technical concepts to support product selection and customer applications.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Proactive and determined to grow revenue.
- Ability to use a variety of communication platforms such as email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Teams.
- Basic algebra and ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.
- Ideally, a qualification in a technical subject and 3 years of sales experience.
