NXTGEN is working closely with a highly respected and growing accountancy firm in Bury St Edmunds to recruit a Senior Audit Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the RI on a large and diverse audit portfolio, covering a mix of local SMEs and larger companies. Due to continued growth and an increasing market share, the firm is looking for an experienced leader to help drive both client success and the ongoing expansion of the team.

As Senior Audit Manager, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering audits while also shaping strategy, growing the portfolio, and mentoring junior team members. The firm has a strong reputation for internal progression, and there is a clear pathway upwards for those looking to take their career to the next stage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a broad audit portfolio, working closely with the RI.
  • Play a key role in strategy and business development, helping to win new clients and expand market presence.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, ensuring high-quality work and professional growth.
  • Oversee audit planning and execution, maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Work alongside experienced Directors to develop and implement best practices.

What the client is looking for:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with extensive audit experience in practice.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience mentoring and managing a team.
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to provide strategic input.
