Attwood Perks is partnering with a forward-thinking business in Bury St Edmunds to help them find a talented and motivated Business Intelligence Analyst to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a mix of Microsoft tools and contribute to the company's data-driven decision-making processes.

This business are committed to staff training and development and, as a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a key role in managing report creation and providing actionable insights across the business.

You will be responsible for using Microsoft tools, including SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), to develop and maintain reports that support various business functions. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, gather requirements, and deliver impactful, data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design, and maintain business intelligence reports and dashboards using Microsoft SSRS and other related tools.
  • Collaborate with business teams to gather reporting requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness in all reports and analyses.
  • Monitor and optimise report performance to improve efficiency and response times.
  • Support the data governance and data quality initiatives within the business.
  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the business intelligence field.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Reporting Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst, preferably within a commercial setting.
  • Proficiency in SSRS, and other Microsoft BI tools.
  • Experience in report development and management, including designing and optimising reports.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview).
  • Knowledge of data integration and data modelling techniques.
  • Experience with cloud-based BI solutions (Azure, Power BI service).
