Job: Principal Town Planner
Location: Bury St Edmunds (Flexible Hybrid / Remote Options
Salary: 拢45,000 - 拢55,000 DOE + Bonus scheme
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior or Principal Town Planner to join a growing planning team in Bury St Edmunds. This is a great chance for an experienced planner to step into a key role and help shape the direction of projects moving forward; projects involve residential, rural, commercial, mixed use and even a crossover to strategic land projects.
About the Role:
路You'll be working closely with the Planning Manager providing planning expertise on a range of projects.
路The focus will be on rural, residential, mixed-use, and commercial developments, offering you a variety of interesting and dynamic work.
路Ideally, you'll be MRTPI or working towards this accreditation.
Key Responsibilities:
路Lead and manage planning applications and projects.
路Provide advice on planning policy and development strategies.
路Build strong client relationships and manage key stakeholder communications.
路Contribute to the growth and development of the team.
What We're Looking For:
路Around 8 years of planning experience (flexible for the right candidate).
路Ability to manage projects and work independently.
路Strong understanding of rural, residential, mixed-use, and commercial planning.
路MRTPI or working towards it.
路Team player with good communication and leadership skills.
Additional Information:
路The role is based in Bury St Edmunds, and the company ideally requires you to be in the office 3 days a week, though they are flexible for the right candidate.
路They're also open to considering a more senior planner who could potentially work remotely, expanding their presence in the South Region, including the Midlands, Kent, or Essex.
Salary & Benefits:
路Salary range of 拢45,000 - 拢55,000, depending on experience.
路Bonus potential of around 5%.
