Loom Talent are delighted to be supporting with the recruitment of a Warehouse Automation Project Manager for a client in Suffolk.

Our client operate a network of fulfilment centres across the UK. They are investing in automation systems and this appointment will play a key part in the operational implementation phase.

In the role of Warehouse Automation Project Manager you will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the coordination and implementation phase of the project. Ensuring the smooth integration of warehouse automation systems with existing operations.
  • Working closely with the operations team to ensure that the automation systems maximise efficiencies for inbound and outbound teams.
  • Testing for newly installed automation as well as existing WMS and ERP to ensure a smooth integration
  • Working closely with the technical teams to ensure that issues are identified and resolved as quickly as possible
  • Ensuring that all systems and processes comply to safety and regulatory standards
  • Ensuring that strong communication is in place across all stakeholders, including the UK leadership team, group head office, manufacturers and suppliers and wider business colleagues.
  • Regular tracking and reporting of the overall success and progress of the project.

Candidates wishing to be considered should meet the following requirements:

  • Previous experience working within an automated warehouse operation - Essential
  • Supporting or leading on the implementation of Automation into a distribution environment - Desirable
  • Previous experience in project management either within a logistics or manufacturing environment - Essential
  • A strong technical understanding of the use of automation, WMS and ERP - Essential
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills - Essential
  • Commutable distance of Suffolk with travel to HO in London- Essential
  • Ability to commit on a 6-9 month project starting in Marc - Essential

Due to the nature of the role it does offer some hybrid working and the project could be extended or could lead to further opportunities with the business.
