On the back of sustained business growth and with a strong order book in place, this highly successful business are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of their function. This role has been created to provide leadership of a committed, established and versatile supply chain team and drive capability levels and succession planning. Key priorities in this high-profile role are to: develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimise efficiency and cost-effectiveness; identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation across the supply chain; drive a culture of continuous improvement and foster collaborative working practices; oversee inventory levels and ensure they are aligned to business and customer needs; maximise the effectiveness of SAP across the supply chain; provide direction and support to the more complex and high-value purchasing activity; ensure a timely and cost-effective logistics operations, including shipping and receiving of component parts and finished goods world-wide; ensure materials and components meet quality standards and specifications; and identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including supply disruptions and compliance.Demonstrable Supply Chain Management experience encompassing the above areas is essential with experience working in the automotive, aerospace, engineering or manufacturing sector required. A working knowledge of SAP is preferred with strong analytical and problem-solving skills a pre-requisite. There is a need to be on-site 5 days per week with a collaborative and fast-paced working environment in place. With excellent communication and relationship building skills, a proven track-record in leading, developing and coaching cross-functional teams is essential with the ability to operate credibly across all levels of an organisation.
