Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in new build residential groundworks to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and contractual management for residential groundworks projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for residential groundworks projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis specific to residential developments.
  • Monitor project progress and forecast final costs.
  • Manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers on residential projects.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and quality of work.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure the best rates.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and bids for residential projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional membership (e.g., RICS) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and materials.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.
