Description

The Transport Planner duties and responsibilities include

  • Plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
  • Liaise and negotiate with subcontractors and customers.
  • Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.
  • Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements.

Profile

A successful Transport Planner should have:

  • Proven track record of working in a similar role within Transport, Logistics or Distribution
  • Strong geographical knowledge
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
  • Lives within commutable distance from Bury St Edmunds
