With our Client we are looking to appoint Accountants - Semi Senior / Senior for their offices in Bury and Blackburn
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT AS THE ACCOUNTANT
- Annual Salary of c £35,000 - with an Annual Salary Review and Performance related Bonus
- Flexible / hybrid working will be discussed after the probation period
- 23.5 Days Holiday - the offices do close over the festive period - PLUS BANK HOLIDAYS
- Pension - 8% which can be enhanced

KEY FUNCTIONS OF THE ACCOUNTANT
- Outsourcing & Bookkeeping: Managing tasks including bookkeeping and payment runs using cloud-based software.
- VAT Management: Preparing, reviewing, and submitting VAT returns.
- Financial Reporting: Producing management information, forecasting, budgeting, and cashflow reports.
- Year-End Accounts: Preparing annual accounts and corporate tax returns with a focus on tax-sensitive analysis.
- Cloud System Projects: Assisting with system conversions, health checks, and training clients in cloud solutions.
- Client Advisory: Acting as a trusted adviser, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, and building strong client relationships.
- Team Leadership: Supervising and mentoring junior team members, contributing to their growth and development.
- Internal Projects: Supporting software implementation and internal system improvements.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS NEEDED
- Experience in an accountancy practice, ideally AAT qualified or progressing towards ACA/ACCA.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based software such as Xero
- Passionate about providing excellent client service and advisory support.
- Motivated to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
