Based between Rochdale our Client with a TO of c £10m is looking to appoint a Finance Controller as they transition away from Accounts and day to day Finance functions being managed by their External Accountant.
Reporting to the MD - you will as part of the Senior Management team - the business currently has 70 Employees - they trade across the UK and Globally. The business has been established for over 50 years and has impressive growth plans in place which include the Design / Manufacture and Supply of Bespoke Parts to the Oil and Gas Sectors.
You will need the skills and personality to work with Finance and Non-Finance Board Directors / Employees - getting them to understand basic Finance principles. You will continue to have the support of the External Accountants during this transition period. They will continue to have full involvement with Year End Audit / Accounts Preparation and Review. Also, the drive / ambition and hands on approach to be the first inhouse appointed Finance Controller!
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT AS THE FINANCE CONTROLLER;
- Annual Salary of c £50,000
- Annual Performance based Salary Review / Bonus

WHO YOU NEED TO BE AS THE NEXT FINANCE CONTROLLER;
- You will either be Qualified by Experience / Finalist AAT / ACCA / CIMA.
Technical skills needed to be suited to the Finance Controller role will include;
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Strong Sage and / or Xero skills
- Previous experience of Systems Implementation would be an advantage but isn’t essential
- Proven track record across Financial and Management Accounting skills
- Able to prepare Year End of Accounts and experience of having worked with External Accountants
