The most important experience required for this role is Bookkeeping duties or Accounts to trial balance within a UK Accounting firm with experience of Xero, Sage and Quickbooks and a minimum of 3 years current experience.

The firm is dedicated to providing exceptional financial, accountancy and advisory services to clients across various industries. With a commitment to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction, they are expanding their team and seeking a highly motivated and experienced Semi Senior Accountant.

As Semi Senior Accountant you will be joining a thriving accountancy practice.

A summary of your duties will be to support their accounts team. You will be studying AAT Level 4, AAT qualified or even qualified by experience, using both Xero and Sage with the ability to prepare year end accounts/ management accounts.

Your hours will be 37.5 hours per week with flexibility to work from home at least 2 days per week.

BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR THIS ACCOUNTING FIRM

-Salary of £25,000- £30,000 per annum dependent upon qualification and experience

-Hybrid Working ( 2 days home vs 3 days office)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As Bookkeeper your key responsibilities will include:

Accounts / Management Accounts duties
-Preparation of FRS102a and FRS105 year-end accounts
-Management Accounts preparation
-Draft corporation tax computations
-Knowledge of personal tax returns would be an advantage

Outsourcing Duties
-Bookkeeping, inclusive of monthly reconciliations/ monthly journals
-Assisting clients with payment runs, credit control etc.
-Experienced with cloud-based software- in the main Xero (75%) Sage (20%) Quickbooks (5%)
-Comfortable setting up bank feeds
-Offering support and training to clients
-VAT Returns and submissions
-Experience with CIS Returns
-Able to assist clients with software switch i.e. from Sage to Xero

PERSON SPECIFICATION
-Digitally minded i.e. has an understanding and interest in the use of staying on top of trends to deliver an excellent service to clients
-Efficient and organised to ensure timely delivery
-Effective relationship builder both with clients and the wider team
-Eager and ambitious to learn new skills
-AAT Level 4 studier, AAT qualified or Qualified by Experience
-System Experience: Sage and Xero
