As Senior Accounts Auditor, your role will include a mix of audit and accounts duties;
- Start to end statutory audits in line with firm procedures.
- Assess and find areas of improvement for the team, implementing changes where necessary.
- Management of all aspects of audit actions, including team supervision (plus professional development for junior members), risk assessment, and work allocation.
- Reconciliation of complex accounts alongside completing variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns, VAT returns, and other compliance documentation.
- Understand, onboard and find improvement areas within client’s business operations.
- Preparation and review of audit workpapers, ensuring accuracy and compliance in line with industry standards.
- Deliver audit reports and recommendations to both management and clients within set timeframes.
- Preparation and review of statutory financial statements and management accounts across a variety of clients.
Desirables for Senior Accounts Auditor:
- Finalist or fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a professional services firm.
- Sound knowledge of UK auditing standards, accounting principles, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software - Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Confidence in management, leadership and communication skills.
