Are you an organised, proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for an Operations Assistant to join a growing and forward-thinking organisation based in Radcliffe (M26 area). This is a great opportunity to become part of a supportive and collaborative team that plays a key role in delivering environmental and infrastructure projects across the UK.

What you'll be doing:Working closely with the Operations & Compliance Manager, you'll support the smooth running of the Ground Investigation team. This includes coordinating field teams, managing logistics, maintaining schedules, solving day-to-day challenges, and liaising with colleagues across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, organising, and scheduling site work
  • Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ordering and arranging delivery/collection of site data and equipment
  • Maintaining daily schedules and internal communications
  • Supporting with administrative and record-keeping tasks
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to processes
  • Providing general support to the wider team

What we're looking for:

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable to change
  • A problem-solver who takes initiative and works well independently
  • A team player who builds relationships easily
  • Experience supporting field-based teams or coordinating logistics is a bonus
  • An interest in construction or ground investigation is desirable
  • Familiarity with CRMs or similar systems would be an advantage
