SEMH TA:

Prospero Teaching are looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to deliver person centred support to pupils who present high levels of challenging behaviours associated with SEMH issues at a school near Bury.

The candidate must have experience working with children who display challenging behaviours, preferably with de-escalation training. The successful candidate will be keen to make a difference, being empathetic and understanding. You must be confident working on a 1-1 basis.

Contract Details:

  • Role: SEMH TA
  • Location: Bury
  • Hours: 8:45am-3:45pm (during term time)
  • Minimum rate of pay: £85 per day (dependant on experience)
  • Type of work: Temporary
  • Full time/part time: Full time only
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

  • Up to date Safeguarding training in the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
  • Previous experience with Team Teach training
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is essential

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
