A client within the Public Sector based in Bury is currently recruiting for an Environmental Health Officer to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within an Environmental Health environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to carry out the five-yearly risk assessments with associated sampling for 12 x Regulation 10 and 5 x Regulation 9 Private Water Supplies in accordance with The Private Water Supplies (England) Regulations 2016 as amended.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Conducting risk assessments and associated sampling in accordance with European standard EN (phone number removed), entitled "Security of Drinking Water Supply - Guidelines for Risk and Crisis Management - Risk Management."
  • Ensuring compliance with The Private Water Supplies (England) Regulations 2016 as amended.
  • Potentially carrying out enforcement work following the risk assessment and sampling process.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require:

  • Significant recent working experience of Private Water Supply regulation.
  • Experience in risk assessments and sampling in accordance with the relevant regulations and European standards.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

  • Strong understanding of regulatory enforcement procedures.
  • Excellent report writing and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such is offering 30 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. 25 per hour PAYE).
