Assured Safety Recruitment is partnering with the UK division of a prestigious multinational organisation, a global leader providing various logistics and related services. As the Safety, Health and Environment Advisor, you will be a key part of the central UK&I team, business partnering with two key business units. You will continue to uphold the commitment to health, safety, and the environment across UK operations.

About

This hybrid role incorporates homework, office work, and regular site visits. A willingness to travel nationally is essential. Candidates should be based in commutable distance from Enfield.

Role Description:

  • Provide competent advice, support, and guidance to managers and key stakeholders relating to health, safety, environmental, and quality risks.
  • Develop, implement, and manage risk assessments, method statements, and safe work systems.
  • Develop, implement, and manage risk and compliance policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Maintain and continually improve their ISO 45001, 9001, 14001, and 27001 certifications, feeding into the IMS.
  • Report and investigate all accidents, incidents and near misses, Including RIDDOR
  • Support the implementation of a new integrated accident, incident, near miss and investigation system.
  • Facilitate local business-specific H&S committee meetings.
  • Plan audits, inspections, and reviews.
  • Ensure Crown maintenance of certifications and awards such as Safe Contractor, CHAS, ROSPA.
  • Provide monthly data-driven dashboards and insights on compliance levels in their area of operations.
  • Support the Training Manager in developing and conducting Risk and Compliance Training for staff and subcontractors/service partners.

Requirements

  • Nebosh Certificate
  • Experience working in a multi-site business or a complex single site.
  • Ideally logistics experience or experience in a similar industrial setting.
  • Experience with ISO management systems and accreditation would be beneficial.
  • UK Valid Driving Licence and willingness to travel are essential.
