We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our friendly, family-orientated secondary school in Bury. The ideal candidate will be skilled in building strong relationships with students while being consistent and effective in behaviour management strategies. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of disengaged students by working as part of the intervention team to ensure they meet the targets set by the school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and mentor students who are disengaged or struggling with behaviour.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage positive behaviour.
  • Work closely with the intervention team to track student progress and ensure targets are met.
  • Implement and maintain consistent behaviour management strategies.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students as needed.
  • Promote a positive learning environment and school culture.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children (either in a school or other relevant setting).
  • Ability to build rapport with students and support their emotional and academic growth.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • A clear understanding of behaviour management strategies.
  • A proactive and caring attitude with a focus on student wellbeing.
