We are delighted to partner with a leading manufacturing business seeking an ESG Manager to drive their sustainability strategy and deliver impactful environmental, social, and governance initiatives. This role will be central to advancing their ambitious ESG roadmap over the next five years, supporting their growth objectives and commitment to long-term environmental targets.

As ESG Manager, you will play a crucial role in embedding sustainability into the business's operations, products, and culture. Collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders, you will lead initiatives to improve environmental performance, meet evolving customer expectations, and deliver sustainable innovation across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and Deliver the ESG Strategy: Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive ESG roadmap, driving performance improvements and aligning with market opportunities.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Partner with teams including operations, fleet management, and commercial to integrate sustainability practices into core processes and de-risk operations.
  • Customer and Market Engagement: Work closely with customers to address sustainability requirements and highlight the value of ESG-driven solutions.
  • Drive Innovation: Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices that align with business goals and ESG targets.
  • Educate and Inspire: Deliver training programs to engage employees and ensure ESG principles are embedded in the company culture.
  • Track and Report Progress: Oversee accurate and timely ESG reporting, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in sustainability or ESG management, ideally within a manufacturing, construction, or utilities environment.
  • Knowledge of standards such as ISO 9001, 14001, and 18001/45001.
  • Background in engineering, with a focus on sustainable solutions and innovation.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • A track record of delivering environmental and financial outcomes within product or project management.
  • Experience working with carbon reduction and sustainability-focused KPIs.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of the construction, rail, or utilities sector.
  • A history of creating or managing sustainable energy solutions.
