The successful candidate will be required from January 2025 through to the end of the academic year in July 2025. The role is on a part time 0.8 basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in KS3 and 4 Geography, inspiring students to develop confidence and competence in Geography.
- Plan, assess, and deliver the curriculum with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
- Utilize creative and varied teaching approaches to support a range of learning styles, ensuring lessons are inclusive and challenging for all.
- Collaborate with the Geography department and broader school community to contribute to a positive, cohesive learning environment.
- Uphold school policies, ensuring a safe and supportive space for all students.
Person Specification
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Geography teacher who:
- Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has recent experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Geography, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality lessons.
- Is committed to inspiring and engaging students, helping them achieve their full potential.
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and can build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Is adaptable, resilient, and ready to engage with the dynamic demands of a vibrant school setting.
