We are currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at a secondary school in Bury. If you have previous experience working with children and are passionate about supporting students with special educational needs, we would love to hear from you.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with a range of needs, supporting their academic and personal development in the classroom. You will be part of a friendly and close-knit school community, where staff are committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

The Role:
  • Support students with SEN (Special Educational Needs) within mainstream classrooms.
  • Work under the guidance of the class teacher to adapt lessons and learning materials.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with specific learning needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.
  • Promote an inclusive, positive learning environment for all students.
  • Help students build confidence and independence in their learning.

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school or SEN setting.
  • A caring, patient, and understanding approach when working with students with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
