Interim procurement Manager, working to the Head of Procurement you will use your existing sills to drive forward an evolving procurement team:

Key responsibilities of the Interim procurement Manager:

  • To support the Head of Procurement in managing the Strategic Procurement activity of the organisation
  • To provide specialist procurement advice and guidance to senior officers and members as required, including advice on market intelligence and options appraisal.
  • To develop and take the lead on implementing appropriate performance standards and measures for procurement activities across the Council to demonstrate continuous improvement.

Required skills and experience of the Interim procurement Manager:

  • Recent Public Sector experience essential
  • Proven ability to lead on end-to-end Procurement process across a range of categories
  • Excellent communication skills
