About the role:

  • 1:1 Behaviour Learning Support Assistant to support a student with specific learning needs in a mainstream school.
  • Facilitate learning by working closely with the student
  • Implement tailored strategies to meet individual needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialists
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Patience and compassion for supporting students
  • Passion for helping students in their learning journey
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is preferred but not essential

The ideal candidate must:

  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • DBS registered on the update system or willing to obtain one
  • Preferred experience working with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), though not essential.
  • Comfortable and flexible in various classroom environments.
  • Ability to assist the teacher both in and around the classroom
  • Experience working with small groups of children.
