This full-time role, beginning in January 2025, is perfect for an experienced teacher who is passionate about working with Year 6 students (ages 10-11) and helping them achieve their academic potential before they transition to secondary school.

SEN experience is beneficial, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required!

About the Role

As a Year 6 Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons to students aged 10-11. You will work closely with colleagues and parents to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment, catering to the needs of all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your role will be pivotal in preparing students for their transition to secondary school while fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic lessons that align with the national curriculum.
  • Tailor teaching methods to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEN.
  • Cultivate an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where every student feels valued.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and serve as a positive role model.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

What You’ll Need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
  • Experience working with SEN students is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students aged 10-11.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and positive approach to teaching challenges.
  • Availability to start in January and work full-time.
