Science teacher - Derbyshire - ASAP start A dedicated and passionate Science Teacher is required to work at a secondary school in North Derbyshire. The role will start after the February half term break on a full time basis for the rest of the academic year where it will then become a permanent position. This position is open to ECTs as well as experienced science teachers. You will be required to teach science to key stage 3 & 4 classes and become fully involved within the department & school, from day one. You will also be required to attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. It would be advantageous if you have previously delivered sessions in a science based after school club or revision sessions, however, this is not essential. You will ideally be a Chemistry specialist or, if not, a Physics teacher with experience teaching key stage 3 & 4 classes in a UK school. Ed, QTS, etc) in science Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference) Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training) Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training) Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
