This role will see the successful candidate spearhead design and specification of steel overhead line structures and overhead lines. The Role:
- Undertake the design and specification of steel overhead line structures and overhead line design systems
- Take responsibility for project management and ensure the achievement of all deliverables in a timely manner, including financial management and attending site meetings where appropriate
- Take responsibility for all Health and Safety and CDM issues arising on projects and take a lead role in the development of OHL designs and ensure compliance with legislation
- Provide technical expertise to the company, reviewing and development of company systems and provision of technical training as appropriate including mentoring Junior Engineers
- Monitor and undertake day-to-day management of all design activities, verification of all work undertaken by your design teams and ensuring compliance with company Quality Procedures
- Provide site supervision to others and to verify and approved proposed work procedures, designs, drawings and method statements prior to work commencing
The Person:
- Proven experience within the Electrical Transmission industry
- Experience designing high voltage electrical components
