This is a great opportunity for a Toolmaker to join a rapidly expanding business who are in the process of introducing now processes and machinery. The position will be a days regular role, providing you the opportunity to get off shift work. Role & Responsibilities:

  • Repair, modify existing production tooling when required.
  • Manufacture new injection mould tools from technical drawings and 3D cad data to a high level of workmanship in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Service and maintain existing production tooling to the service schedules.
  • Operate all toolroom plant and machinery safely ensuring necessary protective clothing and equipment is used at all times.
  • Suggest any possible improvements to tooling or processes, for assessment by Technical Manager.
  • Be proactive in suggesting improvements in productivity and efficiency.
  • Good housekeeping.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified plastic injection mould tool toolmaker.
  • CNC experience.
  • CAD/CAM experience.
  • Develop Apprentices within the toolroom.
  • Ability to work on Fully hardened steel production tools.
  • Experience with Hot runner systems / Valve gates and manifolds.
