Your new school Hays are recruiting for a job as a Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant for a Welsh-Medium Primary School in Caerphilly, which provides a fantastic standard of Welsh-Medium education for their pupils aged 3 to 11 years old. The school is much loved and highly regarded within the local community, providing an excellent standard of education for their students through the medium of Welsh. The school has a wonderfully supportive staff who are eager to welcome a new member to the team. The role itself shall involve working with small groups within year 3 and 4 classes, supporting the students with engagement in schoolwork as well as the social aspects of school life. Additional 1:1 responsibilities may be expected of you on an ad-hoc basis. The school creates a supportive, inclusive, and happy learning environment where teachers and students alike can succeed to the best of their abilities. The teaching team are driven, passionate, and will be there to support any new members of staff.Your new role.The role is confirmed long-term for a November start, working 5 days a week.   • Supporting small groups of year 3 and 4 students through the medium of Welsh.
  • Creating and maintaining a safe and enjoyable learning environment for pupils.
  • Working as part of a close-knit and efficient team with other members of the teaching staff.
  • Demonstrating high levels of care, patience, and empathy when dealing with potentially challenging behaviour.

What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role, it is required that you possess at least 40 days of relevant experience over the course of the last 2 - 3 years and must be able to speak Welsh.
