This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business with growth plans in place. My client are looking to take on a Warehouse and Logistics Manager in a newly created role providing you the opportunity to make the role your own. The role would be well suited to a Warehouse Manager with experience on managing teams of warehouse operators, continuous improvement initiatives and a strong health and safety focus. Working across a broad range of manufacturing sectors, this is a great chance to join a secure business who are breaking into new markets.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the entire goods in/out process to ensure accurate and timely receipt and dispatch of goods.
  • To lead the warehouse team ensuring that all operational systems and health & that all warehouse activities comply with health and safety regulations and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of goods and materials.
  • Maintain oversight of the stores area, including external yard area, finished goods warehouse and raw material stores.
  • Manage and develop a team of Warehouse Operatives, Yard & Warehouse operative and team leader.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and champion 5S activities in the area.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and maintain stock accuracy reporting.
  • Participate in and actively promote the company's CIP (continuous improvement program) looking for ways to continually improve the way we work and to reduce waste.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • The successful candidate will come from a warehouse and logistics management background.
  • Experience within FMCG or the plastics industry would be beneficial, as well
  • Experience managing teams of warehouse staff.
  • Health and safety focussed.
  • Previous experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
